VOICE is Georgia Tech's sexual and relationship violence prevention and survivor support initiative based in the Wellness Empowerment Center. Launched in 2002 and expanded in 2015, VOICE provides support to victim-survivors of sexual violence as well as educates the campus community about healthy relationships and sexual violence. Sexual violence is an umbrella term that includes sexual harassment, stalking, dating and domestic violence, and sexual assault and rape.
We encourage you to continue exploring this online book to find information about sexual violence, involvement opportunities, and resources for survivors of sexual violence or those supporting survivors.
Georgia Tech prohibits discrimination, including discriminatory harassment, on the basis of race, ethnicity, ancestry, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or veteran status in its programs, activities, employment, and admissions per its Equal Opportunity, Nondiscrimination, and Anti-Harassment Policy. If you believe you have been the target of discrimination by a staff member of VOICE or if you have a complaint about the quality of VOICE services, you have the right to report this to the Director of the Wellness Empowerment Center, or to submit a complaint via EthicsPoint.
Since VOICE receives federal funds through a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant, you can also file a civil rights complaint with the Office of Justice Programs Civil Rights Division. Information on how to file a civil rights complaint can be found on the Office of Justice Programs website. Adverse findings must also be sent to the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council by calling 404-657-1956 or mailing the finding to 104 Marietta St NW, Suite 440, Atlanta, GA 30303.
